Contract Trainer
Katya Boltanova earned her linguistics and teaching foreign languages degree from her hometown Gorno-Altaisk State University in Russia. She came to the USA as a Rotary Ambassadorial Scholar in 2001 and Iowa became her home. From 2002 to 2012 she worked in substance abuse prevention field with different approaches, from classroom, to parenting courses to community coalition building. Overtime she gained expertise at coalition building, and now provides trainings and assists in starting community drug prevention coalitions in Central Asia since 2012. Katya has provided PRIME For Life 12-hour OWI course in Iowa City since 2004. In her free time she loves sewing and designing custom wedding gowns and comfortable clothes. She also has an appreciation for fine teas, and as a result accidentally became a gourmet tea dealer. Katya is a mom to Milana and expecting boy/girl twins.
